Our Mission
Trustworthy and timely research, instruction, and advice to support scientifically informed development and effective management of the freshwater resources of Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia.
Water Quality Laboratory
The Water Quality Laboratory began from the inception of the Water Resource Research Center in 1972. Today, WERI’s Water Quality Laboratory provides the island’s major water quality analysis service for government agencies, private sector, local water vendors, business, and construction companies. Our laboratory and Methods/Parameters are certified by the Guam Environmental Protection Agency.
The current staffing operates a full time Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Technician, and Chemical Analyst. Part time Research Assistants help as required by analysis workload.
