Thank You, Cathleen Moore-Linn

Ms. Cathleen Moore-Linn, Executive Director of the Research Corporation UOG (RCUOG).

University of Guam (UOG) celebrated Cathleen Moore-Linn’s Executive Director leadership of the Research Corporation UOG (RCUOG), From 0 to $100M, on Friday, November 25, 2024 at the School of Business and Public Administration Building, University of Guam. Cathleen led the Research Corporation for 11 years from the ground up to become one of the greatest achievements in UOG history. Cathleen presented the history, the challenges, breakthrough, and success. She reflected on the great support she received, and acknowledged key players that supported her success. Her great ability to manage and communicate is an inspiring example, a blue print for us all, on how to succeed and make a great impact to the island.

Cathleen also mentioned many times, the new UOG buildings she pursued – the new WERI and Nursing Buildings, undergoing construction today. Ms. Cathleen was assigned to pursue the funding of the two buildings, working with the whole WERI team to get the necessary documents for the funding to build. In the midst of rapid inflation, post pandemic situation, typhoon, and change in UOG leadership, the funding of the new WERI Building was short, and nearly cancelled. Ms Moore-Linn could have easily said, “Oh well,” but this is Cathleen we are dealing with here-she will find a way to succeed. Fast forward, WERI’s new building is on the way, expected completion within a year.

Thank you Cathleen, like I’ve said before, “You are a Rock Star!” We promise to get a plaque (hopefully platinum) on the new WERI Building, in honor of you.

WERI is more than three stories, and the story about the new WERI Building – it goes like this, “Once upon a time, an amazing Woman walked through the ol’ WERI door. Her name is Cathleen Moore-Linn… And when she saw the first floor walls go up, she smiled in the accomplishment. Some may be baffled as to why, but she felt then that it was time to move on…”

Again, Thank You Cathleen Moore-Linn, farewell, and please come back to help us open the new WERI doors.

WERI team with RCUOG.
