The NGLA tour returns in 2025

On Friday, May 2, 2025, WERI hosts its annual tour for the Northern Guam Lens Aquifer. Among the attendees were professionals that spanned across different local agencies, such as GWA, NOAA/NWS, GEPA, NGSWCD, EA Engineering, and NAVFAC Marianas. This year featured a new lookout point near the Guam Korean Pacific Presbyterian Church, which provides a view of the Yigo-Tumon trough from Barrigada.

WERI appreciates all the hard work and assistance for the success of this event. The WERI team gives a special thanks to:

  • Mr. Daniel Raglmar and the UOG GLE team for helping WERI organize this event
  • Pastor Richard Kim for hosting our group at the church during one of the stops on the tour
  • DPW Coral Pit team for hosting our group and ensuring safety protocols at the quarry
  • Roque Rosario II from GWA for the cool drone photos
