WERI Graduate Students Exemplify UOG Excellence
At the 2023 Graduate Awards Ceremony, three WERI Environmental Science (EV) graduate students were recognized for their achievements in their research. Their achievements continue to expand WERI’s list of outstanding students and further represents the excellence of the University of Guam.

Feng Chia University’s visit to WERI / UOG
Feng Chia University recently traveled from Taiwan to Guam and visited WERI, UOG, and the UOG School of Engineering (SENG). The visit was aimed at fostering academic collaboration and knowledge exchange among faculty and students from both institutions.

UOG’s Graduate Environmental Science Program upgrades WERI’s Water Quality Laboratory
The Water and Environmental Research Institute has upgraded its Water Quality Laboratory status, with a Master. WERI’s WQL Manager Ms. Mallary N. Duenas in December 2022 earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science. Ms. Duenas studied and investigated the occurrence of a new emerging contaminant, PFAS.
